It is a safe place where parents can snorkel while the kids play at one of the many other water activities. The park offers many family friendly activities which are included with the Xel Ha price of admission: Snorkeling, swimming, cliff jumping and ziplines are all included. Special activities such as swimming with dolphins or manatees have an extra fee you can pay and schedule at the entry of the park.

How is Xel Ha Snorkeling?

At Xel Ha the water is calmed, making snorkelling easy for anyone. It has over 90 species of marine mammals including parrotfish surgeonfish damselfish snappers group and sergeant major. The waters created by the site create a unique phenomenon due to the dense sea water that is mixed with fresh water of the rivers. The water is relatively clear, allowing you to see plenty of colorful fish. Most of the stretches are not very deep, approximately 30 feet. In Xel Ha you can do unlimited snorkeling, you can take the snorkel equipment in any of the five modules just by scanning your bracelet.

Children’s World playground features a crocodile tunnel, kiddy pool, rope climbing, tree house, water lilies, and interactive activities for kids. The park also has a giant lighthouse-shaped slide that ends in a pool for the whole family. There are plenty of chairs on the playground and a shady area in the woods to prevent children from being too exposed to the sun. You can leave your children for hours playing in the tree house and on the ropes course, while you relax on the sand chairs with an ideal inclination to rest. There are also many hammocks throughout the park, you will be able to rest while your children play freely.

Swimming with Dolphins, Manatees or Stingrays

The animals encounter at Xel Ha Park lets guests swim with them. The ages required by law for the activities consists of minimum 5 years. The Park continues to offer an ongoing rescue and conservation programme for the animals. These friendly aquatic mammals are very intelligent and noble. For 40 minutes it will be possible for you to get to know them better and interact with them. You can also feed them and be in close contact with these gentle creatures. To ensure your space, be sure to book this optional activity upon arrival at the ticket office and thus choose the time that best suits your plan for the day at Xel Ha Park and make the most of it.

How do the passport stamps work?

The passport stamp is a wrist band that you carry during your staying at the park. There are a few features on this wrist band. For starters, it gives you access to towels and snorkeling equipment, which are included in your all-inclusive package. Second, if you do not return the equipment, it serves as your deposit. It can also be used to take pictures at various points throughout the park. When you arrive at a photo location, you scan your wrist band at the station and wait for the camera to take your picture.

At the end of the day, you can buy one or all of the photographs. This is a great feature for guests who want to go swimming but don’t have a waterproof camera or a protective pouch. It’s also entertaining for kids to collect stamps and photos at each location, sort of like a scavenger hunt. If you don’t have a waterproof phone case, you should get one. It will shield your phone and personal items (such as credit cards and identification) from water and sand damage.
